The NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship is now the premier college tournament in all NCAA sports. This storied tournament began in 1939 with only 8 teams and has grown to include 65 teams in its current form.

It was Brent Musburger who first coined the term March Madness in the NCAA Tournament games he called in 1982.
